Welcome ! Before you start, you should read this brief Introduction to Hiragana which has insights and tips into how characters work.
In each lesson, we present characters in 3 forms : large capital letter, small lowercase letter with serif and sans-serif font. This will help better appreciate subtle differences.



1. Vowels

The first 5 characters represent the vowel sounds found in Japanese : a, e, i, o, u.
